Transitions

It's been a year since I've been back to the U.S. from Mexico. A year of data analyzing, writing, and organizing. A year of farmers markets and dinners, hikes, and adventures with friends. And I'm off again. As I'm packing up and going through my collections from over the years, I can't help but feel so grateful for the amazing experiences that I've had throughout graduate school, which spans from Providence to Santa Barbara to Mexico.  These pictures are only a small piece of the amazing times I've shared. Transitions are often hard and disorienting, but also are refreshing and exciting.  I'm feeling it all as I dust off the old boxes and put the finishing touches on my school work.  It's like college graduation all over again, but more serene.

In May I will be heading south to Mexico for a meeting and visit, and then to Ecuador where I will be conducting fieldwork for my next position at Rutgers Geography/Human Ecology.  Stay tuned, I bet there will be some very interesting tidbits from the field!
